A soapmaking workshop was held in Sultanpur village, Sector 128 Noida by MG SocialCare Foundation in association with Gyanda Bharti with the aim of empowering poor women and improving their quality of life.
The passionate participation of the local ladies had a significant role in the event’s success. As the trainer, the experienced soapmaker Mrs. Meena Kapoor shared her knowledge and abilities with the enthusiastic attendees.
The soapmaking session served as a step toward the empowerment of women in Sultanpur village, not just an event. These sessions are a part of a larger effort to give these women chances for better livelihoods, revenue generating, and skill development. According to MGsocialcare.org, empowering women via skill development is essential to ending the cycle of destitution and poverty.
Gyanda Bharti is a registered Trust with the aim to provide quality and free after-school education to children from underprivileged communities. It runs daily after-school classes at Sultanpur, Sector 128, Noida.
Students hail from weaker section of society, their parents work as domestic help, auto driver, mali, security guard, house keeping staff and some are unemployed.
The Gyanda Bharti, a renowned provider of career and educational help, was essential in making this workshop a reality. Their collaboration with MGsocialcare.org shows that they both care about improving underprivileged areas by giving them access to vital life skills. As the workshop’s trainer, Mrs. Meena Kapoor, a highly skilled soapmaker, producing soaps by the brand name Divine Touch, generously volunteered her time and knowledge for this wrokshop. She was the perfect guide for the women of Sultanpur village because of her love of teaching and her skill in the field. From choosing the materials to shaping the finished soap, she skillfully led the participants through every stage of the process.
The enormous response from the women of Sultanpur village to the soapmaking session was one of its most heartwarming aspects. Their desire to acquire this new talent and better their lives was evident, as was their passion and tenacity. The enthusiastic engagement of the women showed the potential of these programs to have a significant impact in addition to demonstrating their dedication.
The objective of the workshop was to help the women develop a sense of self-reliance and self-confidence, not merely to make soaps. They are now more capable of providing for their families financially as a result of having acquired this important ability. With this increased ability, they may become economically independent, which will increase their self-worth and give them more confidence to make life-improving decisions.
