Local non-profit and non-governmental organization Ashirwad Sevaashrama located in Halasahalli, Bangalore has a respectable history of meeting the needs of orphaned children. Their guiding principle is to enable humanity to realize each person’s untapped potential. One of their main goals is to encourage disadvantaged children’s education so that they can create their own bright futures.
MG SocialCare Foundation recently launched a warm-hearted program by the name of Project Kriti during the Durga Pooja vacations in cooperation with Ashirwad Sevaashrama with the goal of enhancing the lives of the kids in their care.
During the Durga Pooja vacations, Khushbu Kumari from the MG SocialCare Foundation saw the need for fun activities for the kids at Ashirwad Sevaashrama. She recognized the need of teaching the children art and craft techniques, giving them an outlet for their creativity and perhaps even a way to support themselves in the future. With this goal in mind, Khushbu worked with knowledgeable Art & Craft instructors to develop a 5-day training course.
Ms. Vaashati and Ms. Soumya, two devoted trainers, volunteered their time and expertise to instruct the kids as part of the effort. On October 13 and 14, 2023, Ms. Vaashati oversaw training, and Ms. Soumya took over from October 16 through October 20. The curriculum included a variety of art and craft activities intended to foster children’s creativity and help them acquire necessary skills. 42 children, ages 4 to 14, willingly participated in these educational workshops.
Throughout the training program, Khushbu Kumari, on behalf of MG SocialCare Foundation, stood by the kids, offering unwavering support and inspiration. The kids felt supported and motivated to take advantage of this chance thanks to her commitment to the cause.
Ashirwad Sevaashrama and MG SocialCare Foundation intended to empower the kids through both education and artistic expression by providing these art and craft programs. The ability to inspire confidence, elevate self-esteem, and foster inventiveness is unique to the arts. Giving these young people the tools to express their creativity allows them to explore their potential and potentially lay the way for a future in which art will support and enhance their lives.
The Art & Craft training program by Ashirwad Sevaashrama and MG SocialCare Foundation over the Durga Pooja vacations has been a stunning example of the strength of community and compassion. These young kids were given the chance to express themselves creatively and learn skills that could have a beneficial impact on their lives thanks to this program. As these worthy kids learn the joy and potential that art can bring into their life, it’s a step towards a better and more promising tomorrow for them.
