At MG SocialCare Foundation we are dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities by providing comprehensive skill training. Our mission is to create sustainable livelihoods and empower individuals to become self-reliant and economically independent. We have administered a plethora of skill training workshops such as Candle making, Soap Making, Batik printing, Madhubani Painting etc. to our beneficiaries.
To take the training further and help our beneficiaries find an appropriate market for their products and boost their sales, we have also introduced Digital Training workshops.
Digital Training workshops aim to assess the current skill level of beneficiaries, understand their needs, products and market. These workshops guide beneficiaries through digital platforms and services appropriate to market local products from small enterprises.
MG SocialCare Foundation encourages beneficiaries who have attended Skill Training workshops to market their own products and find the right audience. Introduction to Social Media platforms and services such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp Business can prove beneficial for small handicraft businesses.
Beneficiaries are shown how to post pictures and other forms of media to their accounts or pages and utilise tools such as Instagram Reels, Live, Story, and Posts to boost their audience. They are explained the difference between these four media tools common to both Instagram and Facebook. Concepts such as trending audios, hashtags, appropriate captions etc. are introduced. Examples of small enterprises boosting their product sales through Instagram tools are shown as inspiration to beneficiaries. Facebook marketplace is introduced as a medium of direct buyer-seller interaction.
Attendees are shown a video regarding how to set up WhatsApp Business account via single or multiple phone numbers. The utility of business profile and relevant details such as Name, Type, Timings, Location of business are discussed. Beneficiaries are familiarised with the ease of product Catalog on a WhatsApp Business profile with examples.
Beneficiaries are asked to post media to Reels, Posts, Stories, and Lives on either Instagram or Facebook, so their understanding of these tools can be assessed. An interactive doubt clearing session helps the beneficiaries to understand the concise usage of each media tool with respect to product marketing. They are given suggestions and tips on how to showcase their making process to attract more customers and followers.
Digital Skill Training can help beneficiaries become independent and introduce them to an entirely new audience using Social Media marketing. In today’s digital age, social media has become an indispensable tool for marketing small products, offering unparalleled opportunities for reach and engagement. This training empowers them to build a strong online presence, connect with potential customers, and drive sales, ultimately transforming their small businesses into thriving enterprises.
