Self-Reliance Through Skills

Project Swacch

When Women Learn, Families Thrive.

At MG SocialCare Foundation, we are firm believers in empowerment achieved through both knowledge and access to opportunities that ensure financial independence and sustainable self-reliance. We understand that once an individual acquires a certain skill, that knowledge has the potential to change his or her life and that of his or her family and community.

communities prosper

Continuing our persistence towards creating sustainable livelihoods, we organized our 4th Soap Making Training Workshop of 2026 successfully in Suryanagar, Halasahalli Road, Bengaluru. The workshop witnessed participation of thirty women from marginalized communities in the age group of 25 to 50 years old, who were eager to learn a practical skill which will help them in earning sufficient income.

Khushbu Kumari, the Director of MG SocialCare Foundation, was responsible for leading the training, who has been taking initiatives for improving livelihood prospects of people in South India. This workshop is the fourth one organized as part of our training activity in the rural areas of Bengaluru since January 2026 and presents the success of our mission of enabling women to develop their skills and competencies.

Beyond skill development: Creating an effective livelihood

Learning the art of making quality handmade soaps is just the beginning; here at MG SocialCare Foundation, we understand well that training alone is insufficient. One of the key challenges for aspiring women artisans is the ability to reach the market.

To solve this problem, we provide help to our beneficiaries who want to sell their products through:

  • Corporate gifting
  • Exhibitions and fairs
  • Community events
  • Collaboration with groups that promote handcrafted products

The holistic methodology enables us to convert the skills developed during the training sessions into long-lasting career opportunities instead of mere training events.

Confidence along with skills

Every session is not just about soap making but also self-confidence boosting.

The participants often hail from vulnerable social conditions, with very few job opportunities. Learning a useful skill helps them to start imagining their contribution to the family budget as well as to become good examples for their kids and communities.

Our Commitment to Empowerment

Our aim at the MG SocialCare Foundation is to serve the underprivileged through skill development, entrepreneurship, and market linkage. Our workshops enable women to become financially independent and economically stronger.

The foundation believes that empowerment is not achieved through one-off events. Rather, empowerment requires continuous education, ongoing support, and opportunities for them to prosper at the end of their training.

The foundation keeps on expanding its livelihood initiatives across India. Now the aim is to achieve something greater with every initiative, one workshop at a time.

When women are trained, families will prosper.
